Common Video Files

We can load videos in different format such as: mp4, m4v, mov, mpg, flv, avi and wmv. And each one of the format have different sizes for the same video. For example, in my multimidea class the bumblebee video saved on this different format had six different MB sizes. Using mp4 and m4v the format was 1.63 MB; using mov the format was 8.10 MB; using mpg the format was 12.40 MB, that was the biggest one. Also, using flv the format was 5.01, avi was 12.00 MB and wmv used 8.28 MB. The smallest one was the mp4 and m4v. With this information you can decide which one is the best will fit you. On my opnion the worse quality of image was the avi format and the best image format was mov. If you like to check out go to multimedia class week 4.

Snagit vs Screencast-o-matic

Snagit is a software that we can capture images; so, is Screencast-o-matic. One difference is that snagit is not a free software and Screencast is free. Both are good softwares to set up students handouts or staff development handouts, because we can record ourselves and walk people through their assignment.
